Independence 1 is privately owned and operated by ABC Reef Safaris Port Douglas. This commercially built vessel is 16m long and 5m wide and can travel up to 200 nautical miles offshore. Independence 1 has a comfortable cruising speed of 22 knots with a top speed in excess of 30 Knots.

Fully equipped with the latest snorkelling and scuba diving equipment, Independence 1 has everything you need for a comfortable day on the water, including its own toilet, and is the best option for up to 12 passengers wanting to take a private trip together, although we are licensed to take 25 passengers and 4 crew.

Days, itineraries and experiences can be tailored specifically to your needs, whether it’s a half day trip, full day trip, snorkelling, scuba diving or free diving and sunbathing, island hopping and enjoying, or a little bit of everything, we’ll customise a package to suit you.
